According to "Bible Study Tools", after Sarah's death, Abraham took Keturah as his wife and she bore him six sons. These sons represented Arab tribes South and East of Palestine, so that through the offspring of Keturah, Abraham became "the father of many nations. Keturah was also the middle name of the founder's late mother. She was known to have a heart that gave abundantly to people in need. Her legacy continues in the heart of Keturah's Haven.
Beginning with a heart-breaking counseling session at a pregnancy help center on an evening in 2014, God has been working on Ruhamah's heart to develop this safe refuge for homeless, abused and abandoned pregnant women. To give each one a sense of personal self-value and give them tools for a better life and to be a good mother with Christian principles in a broken world.
“Defend the poor and fatherless; do justice to the afflicted and needy; deliver the poor and needy; free them from the hand of the wicked.” Psalm 82:3-4
